Meet Mr. Fischer!
Hi! My name is Daniel Fischer and I'm proud to be a born and raised San Diego native. I'm the construction teacher here at Twain and couldn't be happier teaching these important skills to the next generation! I have over 15 years of residential and commercial experience working in a variety of trades and currently am the sole proprietor of a local plumbing company. I'm also an SDSU alumni, go Aztecs! I love to go to the beach with my wife and two daughters, play guitar and sing, go for bike rides, and enjoy our amazing city!
In my Green Construction Design class, I take the students through different construction trades including plumbing, electrical, framing, concrete, painting, and more. We get plenty of hands-on experience and by the end of the course students have a good feel for which construction trades they enjoy. We are constantly partnering with community businesses and organizations to get real-world experience. In Spanish class, students learn the written and oral language along with new cultural perspectives.
