Meet Mr. Rundle!
Teacher at Twain Mesa
Hello and Welcome! My name is Weley Rundle and I am very excited to start my first year at Mark Twain High School. I have been teaching English Language Arts and English Language Development for over 15 years but this is my first year as part of San Diego Unified School District. Prior to settling in San Diego I spent almost a decade traveling abroad and teaching in different countries. I taught in China, Thailand, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq and was very fortunate to be able to travel to many other countries during that time period.
Originally, I am from Ventura County just north of Los Angeles. Growing up, I played a different sport every season and even continued to play organized volleyball into college. I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a BA in English in 2005 and earned my MEd in Curriculum and Instruction Design in 2016 from Concordia University. I am so excited to share my experiences as we grow towards meeting our academic and social goals.
When I’m not in the classroom, I love being outdoors- especially at the beach. I am a very proud father and husband and have loved every moment of the experience. As a life-long learner, I am currently in my last semester at San Diego State University where I will be earning my MA in Educational Leadership this winter.
I hope you all have a wonderful school year and I look forward to working together.
